HEALTH AND WEALTH

I found this reading very interesting, I use to hear a lot about how we are the number one nation, or we are more advance then other counties. After reading this article, I believe everything that Lawrence and James said is right on point. In my opinion i feel as though the United States is slower falling apart, my reason for saying this because there are to many problems in our society that have not been taking care of or has been over looked. Like they said in the article our main problems are inequality, proverty, and organization of our health care, these three things can or will lead the U.S down an unpleasnt road. Health care is probably the biggest problem in the U.S for a lot of people that are unforant because they can't afford it which is probably why our death ratio is so high. the author said people suffer fewer heart attacks if they are on the ladder of success then those who are at the bottom trying to make a living. In a way that is somewhat true because people that are successful don't have to worry about not being to pay bills and they have better health insurance, but that can all change in an instant if their success comes to an end. Those that are not that successful and don't the best kind  of health care or none at all tend to have to settle with whatever illness or suffering that they have. It also states that 14 million people in the U.S are severely poor, and this is main black and hispanic people. These people are either hungry, homeless, or both; they also live in neighborhoods that attracts negativity like alcohol and tabcco, illegal drugs, fast foods, inferior schools, few jobs, high crime, and inadequate health care facilities. This why our  society is falling apart because people fail to help these individuals that are in need.
